Americana Road

April 19 The DoHo Cafe in Dana Point 4-6pm (Inside Doheny State Park)

Dave

Guitar, Vocals

Dave, aka “The Commander,” is a child of the sixties in high school and college bands, on Navy ships in the Gulf of Tonkin and back to rock and roll in his garage with The RSM Garage Band from 2007 to 2013. Also great memories of recording favorite covers with college friends, Cris and Frank as The Unknown Legends. Always with a whistle on his lips and a song in his heart.

Yvonne

Mandolin, Vocals

Playing guitar off and on for fun since age 12, Yvonne made the jump to mandolin at the suggestion of her fellow musician and sweetheart Drew and never looked back. She’s played north and south county venues, parties and fundraisers, adding that little extra chime to whatever song she’s playing. Influenced by Sierra Hull, Emmylou Harris and Gillian Welch, she’s currently enjoying being one of the newer additions to the band and happily exploring the music roots of Americana and country.

Dan

Guitar, Vocals

Dan, aka Slick Willy, started strummin' and singing to Gordon Lightfoot and John Denver Songs when he was just twelve. After a long pause in his musical pursuits, the flame rekindled about four years ago as he neared his retirement. Spurred on at work by his very capable mentor Carlos, he set out on a quest to develop his skills and to get good enough to join a band. He is a valued member of the band and always keeps things light with his boundless sense of humor.

Gerald

Cajón

ZZ Ger started playing drums from the age of 8. Progressed to the full range of percussion soon after. Marching Bands, Symphonic Bands, Jazz Bands, Symphony Orchestras. Everything from Classical to Rock and beyond. New Jersey All-State and New Jersey Philharmonic Junior Division. University of Rochester All University Symphonic Orchestra and Symphonic Band. Always a rhythmic player, laying down the backbeat to keep the group in time!
